Brainwise, (formerly called The Braintraining Institute) was formed in Auckland in 2005 by Bruce Mackie. (1941 – 2011). Monique Chasteau joined the organisation in 2009. Monique has been an educator and therapist for over 20 years. She is an art therapist and has worked with with children and adults with psychological, intellectual and physical difficulties. Some of her career has involved running counselling services in schools for adolescents and staff.
Monique has specialist training in Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Brain Function Analysis (QEEG )and Stress Assessment. Monique offers supervision and training in neuroscience orientated approaches to therapy. Monique is secretary of the Biofeedback Society of New Zealand and a member of the Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia.
